ELSA MOURATIDOU

ELSA MOURATIDOU

She was born and raised in Toumba, Thessaloniki. Thus, she learned from a very young age that the sports club of PAOK is the one and the same with the blood type and zodiac sign. At an early age, the conductor of the children’s choir of Aghia Triada snagged her, and she realized instantly that she wants to do two things in her life: to sing and to travel. After she took a short detour in studying Greek philology in Northwestern Greece she started to materialize her dream; to travel through singing and later to sing by traveling throughout Greece and abroad.

Permanently indecisive she is wavering between singing songs from the Black Sea as a member of Argatia Ensemble, Irish and Scottish songs alongside TIR FADA, Cretan songs alongside MAROUVA, tango, retro, and other songs alongside her friends, the accordionist Θάνος Σταυρίδης and the contrabassist Γιάννης Καλπακίδης.

Every single day she narrates traditional and modern fairy tales to her little girl Roxanne who keeps correcting her whenever she forgets any detail…

Her remaining time whenever she doesn’t sing she teaches others to sing.
